Stephanie was Born and raised in El Paso Texas, border city to Juarez Mexico. She acquired a BFA in Dance Performance from The University of Texas at El Paso with an emphasis in contemporary dance. While in Texas, she studied under notable masters, including: Myron Nadel, Lisa Smith, Leanne Rinelli and Sandra Paola Lopez. Stephanie's training in dance includes jazz, contemporary, drill, hip-hop, afro-latin, improvisation and ballet. She has also danced professionally for Fawnz Dance Company, directed by Oliver Dominguez in El Paso Texas. Stephanie worked as a dance educator specializing with grade levels K-6 in Austin Texas for 3 years, before relocating to Columbus, Ohio. Where she continues to teach for school aged children at a local charter school. Rangel's bicultural upbringing has had a heavy influence on her teaching pedagogy by integrating cultural teaching into dance. This is Stephanie's first season performing with Xclaim. She is very fortunate and excited to be dancing alongside talented dancers and choreographers. |
