SAMUEL WALKERSam was born and raised in Derby, England. He earned his associates degree in Musical Theatre and Contemporary Dance & Choreography from Newcastle College. In his formative years Sam trained in Ballet, Tap and Modern dance at The Lisa Peech School of Dance in Derby, England.
Upon moving to the United States, in 2007, Sam joined Xclaim Dance Company as a founding member. Where he participated in the Debut performance "Xtra!", "Hand's & Feet", and "Red Light, Red Letter". He was a teacher of dance to children and adults for 12 years, including several years at Bethlehem Dance in Marion, OH under the Direction of Vicki Bell. and then at Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Westerville, under Amy Jordan, During his time at Fred Astaire, he taught full time for 9 years and competed nationally as a ballroom dancer. In 2020 Sam transitioned his career to become a full time wedding photographer and videographer. He resides in Columbus with his wife and young son. He has graciously come out of retirement as a dancer to join Xclaim for the role of Marley's Ghost! Welcome Back Sam! |
