Megan Blum
CHOREOGRAPHER DANCER INSTRUCTOR: HOLY YOGA C-225 Yoga Certified, Holy Yoga Global Dance Major, The Ohio State University Megan grew up in Dallas, TX where she began dancing at an early age. There she trained in a wide breadth of dance styles, but grew to love modern as a form of personal expression. She attended Texas Women’s University to study Dance in 2009-2010 and transferred to The Ohio State University in 2010 to pursue a BFA in dance, focusing on choreography. At OSU, Megan had her first exposure to West African dance and fell in love with its physicality, rhythm, and history. This experience continues to inspire her movement today. Prior to her time at OSU she studied and performed on a competitive dance company in Dallas, Texas. and was a scholarship student at American Dance Festival (ADF) in 2011, where she danced with established and up incoming professionals from around the world. In 2018 she received her 200 hr Holy Yoga Teaching Certificate to teach Holy Yoga, a form of yoga that seeks to create spaces for people to experience the presence of God. This is Megan's second season dancing with the company Megan has enjoyed yoga for many years as a wellness practice. In 2018 the door opened for her to pursue a certification through Holy Yoga Global. The same year she founded Revive Yoga, which facilitates a Christ honoring experience, an opportunity to believers and non-believers alike to authentically connect to God through His Word, worship, and wellness. Megan has also danced throughout her life, including study at Ohio State University Department of Dance. She is excited to partner with Xclaim to “help others worship God with heart, mind, soul, and strength through movement!” |
