COMPANY APPRENTICE
Keely is currently a student at The Ohio State University, studying Biomedical Engineering, English, and Dance. A life-long dancer, she began her formal training with Irish Dance as a child in Chicago before moving to Southern California. While in California she furthered her training through the study of Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, and Hip-Hop styles. During this time Keely also was an active participant in dance competitions . Now back in the Midwest for university, Keely has continued her dance education: as a Dance minor, she has performed in BFA/MFA student works and showcases for the OSU Department of Dance. While in Columbus, she has loved exploring different somatic practices, composition, and global dances. When she isn’t dancing, Keely enjoys developing her Pilates practice and, when visiting family in Florida, her circus skills! Keely is excited to dance and perform with Xclaim! This is her first season as an apprentice dancer with the company. |
