Daryse Osborne
Instructor: Ballet Substitute
Director Emeritus, Charisma Centre for the Arts Daryse received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance at the Ohio State University in 2000. She began her formal dance training in tap and ballet with her mother as a small child. At twelve, Daryse began training with Alexandra Zaharias and went on to be part of St. Louis Dance Theatre under Ms. Zaharias’ tutelage. After moving to Ohio, she taught for Charisma Centre for the Arts (now Xclaim) and became director of the school in 2001. She has had the pleasure of being a choreographer and clinician in parts of Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, North Carolina and Florida and in Puerto Rico and Israel. Daryse was delighted to choreograph a piece for Xclaim’s first Spirituals concert, in 2017. While retiring from Charisma Centre for the Arts in 2019, she has continued to be a part of ongoing support for Xclaim. Daryse and her husband, Scott, are grateful for their two married daughters and sons-in-law and celebrate soon to be nine grandchildren (5 of which are students at Xclaim). Daryse is excited to be teaching ballet this year and looks forward to helping her students build on what they’ve learned and inspire them for continued growth and artistry. |
