Keeping our Commuinty SafeIt is important to us that we resume life-giving opportunities for your family while keeping you safe. We have consulted with medical experts from OSU’s Wexner Medical Center and are working to exceed the reopening guidelines placed by the Ohio State Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention for our classification of business.
CLEANING Our instructors will perform a general cleaning of all contact surfaces following classes throughout the night. We will use industrial strength EPA registered disinfectant solution that kills 99.9% germs and viruses. |
UVC/O³ ROOM STERILIZER Ozone dispersion is a broad stroke method of sterilization often utilized in hospital operating rooms and burn units to kill germs. Our UVC/O³ machines run on timers and will be used at the close of business each night. FACULTY HEALTH SCREEN Each instructor and administrator will have their temperature checked and answer a few health screening questions prior to their shift. Instructors will wear a mask while teaching and interacting with your students unless medically contraindicated. |
NATURAL VENTILATION AND AIR FILTRATION Our new studios have windows that open to provide a source of natural ventilation when the exterior temperature allows. The HVAC system will be equipped with MERV-13 filters, effective at filtering the air from particles that contain airborne viruses like COVID-19 and other allergen causing microbes like dust, pollen, mold and illness causing bacteria |
PROTECTING YOU AGAINST GERMS Students will be given hand sanitizer on the way into the studios, as needed, and upon exit. Temperatures will be taken with a non-touch temporal scan thermometer prior to class to ensure all participants are without fever. *Please arrive at least 5 minutes early to facilitate these precautions. **Parents dropping students off should return 5 minutes prior to the end of their student’s class. ***Please notify the school immediately if you have a positive test for COVID-19. Instructors will employ a 6’ distance during technique work. Class size may be limited to facilitate mandated precautions. Students may wear a mask at the discretion of each guardian. Because dancing is considered physical exertion, a mask is not legally required. Younger students especially may be prone to adjust masks during movement, making a greater risk factor in the spread of germs. Masks are recommended in the building for those not taking movement class, in accordance with the current local mandate. |
Students should come dressed in their dance wear with minimal personal effects (a ballet skirt / jazz pants as needed) A small bag may be used for those with more than one pair of dance shoes. Please bring a personal water bottle.
Depending on the current level of risk in our area, the lobby (or Coffee Underground) may be closed during hours of operation. If this is the case, Instructors will come to the entrance for their students before the start of class. Students will be asked to wait in their cars or socially distanced outdoors. Students should enter through the southwest door and proceed directly to the studio.
