Mia Rae Curran is an interdisciplinary artist originally from Cleveland, Ohio specializing in dance choreography, music production, and creative directing. She graduated with her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The Ohio State University in December 2025. She recently worked with the contemporary dance company, New Dialect, based in Nashville, Tennessee, participating in their Winter 2026 Intensive with founder and artistic director Banning Bouldin. Mia co-taught the Composition 2 course for dance majors in the autumn 2025 semester alongside faculty member Alfonso Abraham Cervera. She danced competitively with Kibler Dance Academy for 10 years, a studio located in her hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. She was an active member of Studio Dance Ohio State for four years, a student-run club on campus that offers performances that are open to the public each semester. Mia's goal as an artist is to create a space where music and dance is accessible to all people and to use her platform to be an advocate for all intersecting cultural and social backgrounds in the arts community.
